The design challenges at the Preserve involved framing those views while containing an inner yard. To address the crowded front entry area, Distinctive Landscaping installed a granite courtyard planted in a simple plant palette of groundcovers, perennials and birches The hill behind the guest parking area was pushed back and heavily mass planted with native shrubs typical of the Preserve. A wall of fieldstone defines the front lawn and contains a deep perennial border garden. Openings offer views of nearby meadows and the distant Adirondack Mountains.
