During house construction, the sensitive ledges and woodlands that first attracted our clients to this property were terrorized by dynamite and earthmoving equipment. Distinctive Landscaping used rock from the site to create a ledge clothed in native plantings. The drive now sweeps by our re-created rock outcropping, a much more appealing approach to the house. Uncovering the pool area required removing 50 tandem truckloads of blasted rock to expose beautiful natural ledges that first lured our clients to this property. Lighting, steps, paths, natural boulders, stone terraces, plantings, and an artful pool house complete this spot of recreation and retreat.
